More Lucky Charms: Hamsa Pendant
Another piece from my weekend yard sale “haul” (two rings, this pendant and a depth gauge for $5)… this is a section of a silver filigree necklace that’s been reattached to a sterling chain. From this section dangles a hand-shaped talisman known as a Hamsa aka Hand of Mary, Hand of Fatima or Hand of Miriam, depending on your religious persuasion. It’s an ancient symbol originating in North Africa and used to ward off the evil eye. It’s also considered a good luck charm.
That’s two good luck charms in one weekend! Watch out world!
