Lazy Sunday: Happy Canada Day
My birthday wish for Canada would be to see citizens and governments unite to improve education in this country. Specifically, I wish for more liberal arts type courses, as opposed to classes that emphasize careers training over analytical thinking. Some folks may think that this is elitist and that students in Montreal and across the country are whiny, overprivileged babies. But in a world were folks believe that an imaginary creature such as the Loch Ness Monster is proof that creationism is valid, I fully support any effort to improve schooling and make it more accessible to all.
